First Cup Ministry brings you not just words, but shared faith reflections from followers of Christ, shared in love, and open for others to join the conversation.

Pastor Jerry

In the quiet shadow of his final days, as brain cancer pressed in, our brother stood firm, anchored in Christ, wrapped in peace not of this world. With hands that once served and arms that always welcomed, he turned to words, writing not for himself, but for others. These reflections are whispers from the edge of eternity, carrying the nearness of the Holy Spirit he so clearly felt.

His legacy is not these pages, it lives in the hearts he lifted, the strangers he treated like family, the love he gave so freely. He was everyone’s brother. And through these words, may his faith still shine, pointing all of us toward the Savior he followed with unwavering trust.

These writings are born from a desire to understand, to wrestle with truth, and to walk closer with Christ. Inspired by Scripture, the voices of faithful followers, and thought leaders shaped by the Spirit, I write to process what God is teaching me and to share that journey with others. If these reflections stir thought, offer encouragement, or point someone closer to Jesus, then they’ve done what they were meant to do.
