WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST BLESSING

It is finally getting chilly and cold in eastern North Carolina, PTL! It makes for a better, hot cup of coffee for sure!

QUESTION FOR TODAYS REFLECTION:

As we begin the reflection, what is your biggest blessing this morning?

I am curious where your mind goes in answering this question? At first it appears easy, right! But as you begin to reflect and list your biggest blessings, you probably start wondering, do I have these aligned correctly? As I ponder my list, am I missing any of my biggest blessings?

And finally, “Is my list really reflective of how I live?” Now brother and sisters this question is indeed the more important one for you!

We do learn in life, it is one thing to have a list of my biggest blessings, it is entirely another matter to reflect on whether or not my daily life actually reflects my lists?

So for our reflection exercise, what does your “biggest blessings” list look like? Perhaps you started with your spouse; then your children; then your home; then your job, am I close? OR if you’re single, perhaps you started with your family, your friends, your job? ALL the above are worthy and honorable being on any “biggest blessings” list!!

However, when we read the following, our lists ‘may’ crumble…

But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

Did my list of my biggest blessings begin with my relationship with Jesus? There may lie our greatest, daily, challenge, on this side of Heaven! Everything on our list is IMPACTED by this one, incredible, foundation statement and if we understand it or not, it is real!

Which is why I continue to ask you, to encourage you, ARE YOU BEGINNING YOUR DAYS WITH HIM?

Elisabeth Elliot wrote, “We accept and thank God for what is given, not allowing the not-given to spoil it.” Let us count our blessings and not our problems or disappointments. What is our biggest blessing? JESUS CHRIST!”

As we fix our eyes on Jesus and the cross, we will always find that we have something we are always blessed by, as well as so grateful, our eternal salvation through and by HIM, and the gift of living with HIM in HEAVEN eternally!

No brain cancer, no bad job day, no rebellious children, no lack of money, no bitterness, or frustration, or bad golf day, or bad fishing day, or a struggle with a friend, CAN EVER CHANGE OR IMPACT YOUR GIFT OF ETERNAL SALVATION IN JESUS AND WITH THAT GIFT, THE JOY OF LIVING WITH HIM ETERNALLY IN HEAVEN!!!

Now…that indeed is OUR GREATEST BLESSING!
