SPIRITUAL TSUNAMI FLOWING! Part I
Good morning, my dear brothers and sisters, are you ready with your 1st cup of coffee to hear how the Holy Spirit has been at work with others lives through the pastor reflections I have been sharing?
The Holy Spirit moved upon me yesterday to reach out to few close family and friends, who have been sending me word about how God has been at work in their life due to the pastoral reflections. What they have sent me remains confidential unless they are willing down the road for me to include their experiences within my pastoral reflections. It is my hope that these pastoral reflections will indeed move forward with your spiritual tsunami transformational experiences, and not just mine!
In fact, this is my greatest joy and prayer request with Jesus regarding these pastoral reflections— that the spiritual tsunami of Hoky Spirit shifts the reflections from just what Jesus is doing in my life, toward the inclusion of what Jesus is doing in a new diverse, dynamic, relational community of faith that has no church walls but is grounded by a relationship of children of God who just desire to gather for their first hot cup of coffe, focus on Jesus, and hear what Holy Spirit has for them from Pastor Jerry’s pastoral reflection.
YES, I am sharing with you a vision that Jesus has given me in regards to these reflections!
The Holy Spirit has made it clear to me in the sharing of reflections that He is at work within the diverse and wide relationships of my life, and then your life, as you forward and share the reflections with others!
It’s pretty simple really, the Holy Spirit moves upon me during fourth watch. Then I authentically share what I hear, feel, and sense with you in my pastoral reflections.
Already there have been powerful life, spiritually transformational tsunamis with hearts being radially transformed by Jesus! Since this battle of brain tumor began in earnest just three weeks ago, several of my family members, with whom I have prayed for years, have experienced the spiritual tsunami of heart transformational change as they accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior! However it even moves deeper as their wave of radical transformation is carried by Holy Spirir where several have experienced hearing Him speak for first time in their life. A few have experienced powerful visions, with some occurring in broad daylight!
I give Jesus thanks for this bad, huge , battle of brain cancer which the Holy Spirit is using to radically transform hearts closer to Jesus! How HE is allowing others to experience Him for first time; hearing Him actually speak for first time; and seeing Him visibly for first time is INCREDIBLE and transcends any cancer battle war in my life!
Join me in saying “THANK YOU JESUS for Jerry’s battle of brain cancer!!!”
PAUSE: QUESTION: if you have been inspired by Holy Spirit through the reflections, would you be willing to share the experience with me in a text and allow me to possibly share your tsunami experience (size or significance of spiritual experience is not the point: point is just honestly sharing what Holy Spirit said to you or you experienced through Him) in later pastoral reflections?
Jesus has made it clear with me how HE INTENDS to use these reflections for His glory. For the encouragement of believers. For the awakening of spiritual transformation in the lives of others who do not know HIM right now. That hearts will open to him, through a rather fluid, new pastoral ministry that simply shares what God is doing in their life as they share their first cup of coffee together each morning!

YES, Jesus has created a new vision of ministry within my heart, behind the scenes HE is already at work designing how this future ministry will come to life!
With this background in mind let me share a real life, tsunami spiritual transformational experiences with you today!
Let’s have some fun with the first one, at the expense of my brother Bill, who shared with me.
Bill’s spiritual transformation, washed him from the shore. His wave was huge and it drug him back out, way out, toward the ocean where it is 800 to 1000 feet deep off Big Rock! The Holy Spirit had lots to wash clean, and this mightily wave carried him out into deep water. Through his powerful, spiritual tsunami experience, I have a new brother Bill, who is now saved as he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior!!!
A reflection of the new Bill happen just yesterday! In our call, he shared this story, laughing as he shared it. My brother is an awesome mechanic, he has an engineer background. While I pay for all my mechanical repairs, Bill performs his own.
So yesterday he was changing out the oil in his big truck, something he’s done so often that his hands just flow freely with hardly any thought about what he’s doing. However, as he went to start the vehicle, he quickly discovered that he had forgotten to tighten the new oil filter. A massive gallon of warm truck oil sprayed over Bill.
Now here is the reality of my new brother Bill. Old Bill would have been cussing loud. He would have easily and quickly been expressing deep anger! He would’ve been bitter about the experience and probably stomping, shouting and throwing items in garage until his anger and energy was depleted.
But my new brother Bill showed up even in the ugliness of being drenched with this warm oil all over him! He shared how he experienced the power of the Holy Spirit, washing over him at that moment with laughter, not anger. YES, the Holy Spirit exploded as he shared with Bill a deep, soul powerful, bubbling over, laughter. HALLELUJAH! THANK YOU JESUS!
Bill emerges from the garage, laughing so hard, headed to house to clean up. Lucie, his most beloved bride was at the kitchen window, and sees her husband walking to the door of home, drenched with black oil from top of his head to bottom of his feet, and hears him just laughing! She heads to door, to tell him no you don’t, do not come in our house like this, and she quickly says, “Why in the world did you change the truck oil in your brand new shirt?”
Acts 4:8-14 NKJV
“Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.”
