SPIRITUAL TSUNAMI FLOWING! Part II

With our first cup of coffee this morning I am thrilled to share with you the most recent radical, dramatically transformational spiritual experience of my oldest friend on this side of Heaven, Larry Selman.

Now Larry grew up in state of Texas, but since he too was an Airman, his family has traveled a lot too. Larry is exceptional enlisted leader, he was selected as senior enlisted member to serve years ago as instructor to his career field located at Colorado Springs. His exceptional teaching skills, and his powerful ability to connect with students, drove the Air Force to keep him as a school instructor for some time, where Larry was highly appreciated and often recognized, as best instructor of year! So, the Selman clan resides now, retired years ago, in the beautiful mountains of Colorado Springs. In fact, I can walk out onto their beautiful mountain home back porch and look straight ahead and see the Air Force Academy, what a view!!!

PAUSE: Need you right now just to pause Let us spend few seconds getting our hearts ready to receive a most powerful, authentic, personal message from my dear brother Larry. Jesus, thank you so much for what you just recently did for my brother Larry! Thank you so much for moving on my heart to call him! Thank you Holy Spirit for showing up! Finally thank you Holy Spirit for working right now in the hearts of all who are about to hear his testimony, to have hearts that are open and receptive to what they are about to hear. Jesus, as they read Larry’s testimony, I ask you explode upon their hearts, in Jesus name, Amen!!!

Larry’s Testimony:

While my dearest friend in the world, Jerry Lewis, is sharing these powerfully inspired reflections he is helping me face the Tsunamis in my life. I’ve battled codependency for most of my life as the result of my parent’s divorce, when I was a few years old. I never felt the affirmation from my earthly father that I so desperately craved growing up. My dad died of a massive heart attack at the age of 50. My codependency resulted in unhealthy coping mechanisms. Jerry knows the pain I’ve suffered and the hurt I’ve caused my wife, Angie, of 44 years.

Last week I received a call from Jerry and we had a spiritual encounter with Jesus. The Holy Spirit had been prompting Jerry to call me with a word from the Lord. We prayed earnestly and Jerry challenged me to cry out to Jesus to lay down my burdens at the foot of the cross. I wept like a baby as God’s love swept over me. I felt the peace of Jesus that surpasses ALL understanding. I felt freedom and acceptance from my Heavenly Father like never before.

Jerry encouraged me to write down my experience in a reflection.

Then I felt compelled to get on my knees to pray and thank my gracious and merciful Heavenly Father. At that moment, I had a vision that the Lord was behind me. He was whiter and brighter than any light that I have ever seen. He placed His hand upon my shoulder. It was a miraculous moment that I will never forget. I’m reminded of my favorite verse.

John 8:32 – Jesus said, “For you shall know the truth, and the TRUTH will set you free.”

Whatever tsunami you are facing in this life just cry out to Jesus and He will hear you, and comfort you in the midst of your storm.
