WHEN STORM HITS WHAT IS MOST HELPFUL?
Storms are part of life we all know that, we just hope down inside the storm will lass us!
But what happens when huge storm does hit us, how are we prepared?
As with recent brutal Hurricane ??? there were important choices for people to make in order to e prepared?
Coastal NC believers know the list all to well! You’re list maybe one like mind: food and water supply; yard and house prep; fill up gas tanks in everything; check generator!
Out hope is that IF storm hits us we are ready to survive!
However let me ask you an important question, something. I hope you will slowly consider with your first hot cup of coffee today, am I ready for a storm? Deeper what does it really take for me to weather it? Are my preparations enough to help me to survive?
Ok, this reflection is little different today. This one is one of those deep and wide, often pushed to side thoughts we really don’t like to reflect on, am I really ready to weather a storm?
Just finished my first week of treatment, have shared with you some of the evened of just first week. So GLAD first week is done! First week of battle the hardest because I was anxious wondering what was going to happen? Now I more deeply understand what it’s going to take to weather this storm!
But, I ask you, what do you think was the most critical element of my preparation for this horrific battle with brain cancer?
I really do not need to write it do I? I know, you know answer: the most important preparation I had done; the most significant for which I am so must grateful was to have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and to have experienced by Holy Sprite daily, living relationship with HIM!
I humbly share this freely starting that my walk with Jesus is not the focus here. I am not here to boast of my walk, that would be most painful for me right now if anyone would even so slightly perceive that!
What is most important is simple when the storm of brain cancer fully washed over my soul; when clarity fully hit, it’s a big one Pastor Jerry; we need to move fast Pastor Jerry; Pastor e Jerry we are not sure how much longer you will live but we hope to give your 9-12 months;
I am most profoundly grateful I had a daily, personal, real relationships with Jesus! I was already blessed with presence of Holy Spirit! He was present and already at work!
This my dear friends was my…our…most critically important preparation for stormer can make: real and personal relationship web Jesus!!!
I just cherish right now, as I reflect on my spiritual journey with my first hot cup of coffee, thank you Jesus for moving in my life years ok, for bringing others in my life to witness to me, to challenge me, because right now this is indeed the most important event sustaining me—presence of Holy Spirit and family of believers He already placed in my life who He now uses to bless and bring encouragement to
me!!
Would you right now read Matthew 8: 23-27, please?
In midst of horrific storm what was it Jesus said, as He cuts us to the heart with what is indeed best preparation we can make—you of little faith!
And new I know m, we all know, that in my life on this side of Heaven there is noting that will be as important,, NOTHING, as my faith walk with Jesus!!!
Question:
How much faith do we need?
Ah the power of His love, His Grace, His presence—ALL WE NEED IS FAITH OF MUSTATRD SEED AND HE SHOWS UP!
