TURN ON THE FAUCET 4
Sisters and brothers, it is a JOY to share the following with you from our dear friend, Angie Selman. We give thanks for her willingness to share how she heard the Holy Spirit speak with her recently.
Good morning and a hearty howdy from this Texas girl. I am so very excited to share what God has put on my heart for the last couple of weeks. The revelation, of what God shared with me, came to me when I was reading in the book of Jeremiah, early in the morning , while having my 1st cup of coffee of the day. So, let’s turn on the faucet and see what the Holy Spirit reveals to YOU!!
A question to reflect on today is as follows: When is the last time that someone delighted in you? Maybe your spouse, your kiddos or even a great friend let you know how precious and special you are to them.
During my first cup of coffee, on October 18, my daily Bible reading took me to Jeremiah 32. (They will be my people and I will be their God. And I will give them one heart and one purpose; to worship me forever, for their own good. I will put a desire in their hearts to worship me and they will never leave me.) When I read that, I started crying like a baby. God was referring to His chosen people, the Israelites, whom He had saved time and time again from the Egyptians, nature, etc..
The Holy Spirit had just revealed to me that no matter what I had done in my life or how far my shortcomings had taken me, He wanted a relationship with ME!! I sat and remembered the times I did not love my husband as I should, or the times I was harsh with my children. I thought about the horrible, harsh words I said to so many people in my life; how many times I blew it!! Yet, in spite of all my messes, He loves me. WOWZERS!!! That blew me away. He just wants me to talk to Him, trust in Him, and NEVER leave His presence. Yes, that same God who loves me and delights in me wants that same relationship with YOU. He is just waiting for you to establish that relationship with Him. He is there for the asking. The Almighty God delights in YOU!!
Yes, He does indeed delight in You! I am encouraging you to seek Him daily through prayer, Bible reading and talking to Him while sharing life’s moments. In return, He will bring you joy, peace and a hope in life that only He can give.
